Pictish and Viking Tattoos

Today a woman with both Pictish and Viking heritage added both of these tattoos to her collection. The pattern on the left is a V-Rod and crescent, found on carved standing stones throughout Scotland. An enigmatic link to an ancient time. The anklet is made of a pair of Nordic style dragon heads, wrapping like a torc, connected with a Celtic band. A multi-ethic permanent celebration of her heritage.

'Awakening' Celtic Knot Tattoo

Today I created this custom knot, derived from the Duleek knot, to begin a back piece. Starting with this central core, we will next add symbolic elements to build his story.

Pallas Athena Greek Tattoo

Today one of the last women to see active duty in the WACs, Womens Army Corps, came in to get this badge of honor. With her 4 years active and many years reserve after that, she well earned the right to wear the bust of Pallas Athena, the goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, mathematics, strength, war strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill. We placed her within a Greek key pattern to make the tattoo a shield of victory.

'Phenomenon' Celtic Backpiece Tattoo

Today a collector expanded his coverage by beginning to build a backpiece with this custom knot work. Working with the musculature, and his preference for shapes evoking wings, we designed and installed a cap for what will evolve in the future.
