Chalice Well Tattoo

Today a woman asked for this sacred pattern on her thigh. The circular center is the design found on the cover of the Chalice well in the heart of the amazing site of religious pilgrimage in Glastonbury, England. The tower known as Glastonbury Tor rises high above the surrounding landscape, and at its foot is the Chalice Well, where some believe the holy Grail was placed by Joseph of Aramathea. Centuries of believers have journeyed to see the well, and drink from the waters there. The sword represents life, piercing the cosmos in the moment of becoming.

Celtic Hummingbird Tattoo

Today the perky little Celtic hummingbird flew again, onto the ankle of a woman who now has a memorial to her mother with this bright jewel that was her mom's favorite bird. We even used Mom's initials to represent the feet, the kind of tiny personalized detail that can come to mean so much in a customized bespoke tattoo.

Celtic Knot Bracelet Tattoo

Recently a woman who had gotten a much too small tattoo on the wrist (that subsequently blurred) came in to cover it. With the magic of Celtic knotwork she now wears a lovely bracelet, surmounted with the name of her beloved. It is NOT always necessary to have a black blob to cover a black blob..... sometimes we can reduce a black spot to a slight blur under something prettier.

'FatherHood Shamrock' Celtic Tattoo

Today I installed this new custom shamrock, a concept requested by the client. He asked for the fatherhood knot morphed into the three leaves of a shamrock, something I was pleased to weave together into this pleasing pattern. He has two kids and another on the way, so all three children are celebrated here.
