Celtic Knot Bear Paw Tattoo

Today a client building a a complete leg of Celtic tattoos came in to install the next image on his list. We made up this custom knotwork bear paw to symbolize the strength and power inherent in the animal, transferring to him through this ancient method.

When bears mark their territory they claw as high as they can reach on trees. If a new bear comes by he will measure his height against the mark, and if a bigger badder bear already lives there he keeps moving on. Now he wears the mark of the bear.

Matching Sugar Skull Tattoos

Today a woman who relishes her role as the "Bad Aunt" led her niece astray and into my studio for matching tattoos. They chose custom designed Dia de Los Muertos sugar skulls with marigolds, and the difference in skin texture comparing a young woman's thigh and a mature outdoorsy equestrienne's shoulder is quite dramatic!

'Trinity Band' Celtic Tattoo

Today's client requested a trinity knot as the central emphasis in a Celtic band. The use of a green accent color in the triangular knot and in the background in the band gives balance, and the shaded weaving knotwork flows through and unites the whole.

Today a woman with several scars on her forearm came to have them covered. A combination of water lilies and dotted swirls follow along the scar lines and now she is freed from the disfigurement that has impacted her life.
