'Inner Strength' Celtic Knot Tattoo

Today a young man came requesting extensive work on his upper arm and shoulder, as a start for forming an armor pouldron. For this first step we made this customized knot to represent his search for inner strength as he enters adulthood. He goes forward embellished, having passed through a rite of passage.

'Dragon Consorts' Celtic Tattoo

Today a happily married woman came requesting a tattoo of two dragons to represent herself and her husband. Centering it on her upper back gave me lots of room to work with, and I combined Nordic style heads with Celtic knotwork to make an overall heart-shaped silhouette. The knots in the neck on the left match a tattoo her husband has, so the dragons are balanced and complementary but not identical. Like their happy marriage, they are individuals within a One.

Scottish Band Tattoo

Today a woman who had gotten a tattoo of her clan badge in Scotland on her honeymoon came to add to it. She chose an intricate Celtic band that I created a new more delicate version of, and then I wove the knot through the ring of the badge buckler to make it a continuous piece. I selectively colored the backgrounds to add a vibrant element, and she now wears a much expanded ethnic tattoo.

The Scots are known to say "If it's nay Scottish, it's CRRRRAP." Well then! This traditional Highland weave is a tattoo pattern that enhances any arm.

Custom Celtic Knotwork Sleeve Cap

Today a man with pre-existing tattoos came to add a framing piece of Celtic knot work to bring them all together into one piece. By adding a bespoke frame that matched the old tattoos in line weight and flow, the arm now presents as a coördinated whole.
