This double disc is one of the most frequently seen Pictish patterns, found on carved symbol stones that date from the 6th century. The mysterious Picts left behind their enigmatic patterns in these carved monuments. This disc has the traditional shape with spiraling circular elements taken from an ancient piece of Pictish jewelry. Here it is bracketed by the Pictish Wolf form the Keillor stone and the bear form the Glamis stone.
