Interlace Celtic Knot Sleeve Tattoo Design

A very long and highly organized pattern of interlocking Celtic knots and loops, complex enough to fascinate, simple enough to draw the eye across the pattern. Transformational !

Tartan Day

Tartan Day is a North American celebration of Scottish heritage on 6 April, the date on which the Declaration of Arbroath was signed in 1320. In honor of National Tartan Day here is the one and only time I have ever rendered a tartan as a tattoo. This fine MacCrae lad was insistent, I was hesitant, and you can see that in order to reproduce just one "sett" in the pattern we needed to scale it way up and cover much of his forearm. The technical challenges of a tartan are extreme, making precise tiny thin lines to prevent the various colors blurring together, but it worked!
