This unique design started as a request by a musician for a tattoo of the Circle of Fifths, a geometric tool of letters for organizing pitches, scales, and key signatures. I suggested we use a woven ten-pointed star drawn by the clever Siberian artist Sergey Arzamastsev in the center. Then we added a simple twist of a Celtic ring to enclose it all.

Я предложил разместить в центре этого изображения плетеную десятиконечную звезду, созданную талантливым сибирским художником Сергеем Арзамасцевым. An epic sleeve! Started with the circle of knotwork at the top, covering a jester from his youth as a Marine. Then we filled the rest of the arm with a full wrap 3/4 sleeve of very bold knots. He travels a lot for work, and reports he gets appreciation wherever he goes !!! Now finished after many sessions, I declare it my favorite tattoo this year !
