Pictish Z-Rod and Double Discs glyph, an enigmatic symbol carved on one of the standing stones in Moray,Scotland by my ancestors the Picts. How proud I am to add it near the signature of my old friend Lyle Tuttle, RIP. Now this woman who has great enthusiasm for Scotland can be an honorary Pict and go forward to her next adventures well marked.
Pictish Meigle Mermaid Tattoo Design
The original of this charming mermaid is on The Maid of Meigle Pictish Stone, carved within the 3rd-6th centuries, now in the Meigle Museum in Perthshire, Scotland. She features a classic Melusine split tail and holds her twined hair. In some of my tattoo versions she is attended by adoring fishes made of Celtic knotwork.
Dark Lord Armor Celtic Sleeve Tattoo Design
A Celtic knot forearm pattern that mixes a looping pattern with a grid, done deliberately large and bold for a musician client who performs dark music.......... this tattoo fulfills the goal of being impressive at a distance, and fascinating up close. It can be shaded, or left with stark high contrast.
