Raven Flight Newgrange Spiral Tattoo Design

The silhouette of a raven in flight is superimposed on the triple spiral design from the 6,000 year old Newgrange megalithic mound in Ireland. I rendered the spirals in individual dots, the way they were pecked into the stone surface in the tomb.

Triple Loop Band Double Celtic Cuffs Tattoo Design

Identical bands done 2 weeks apart, shows the ink settling in in back and the swollen wrist in front. The pattern is taken from the border of Folio 84 verso of the Book of Durrow, the oldest surviving complete illuminated gospel known. It was most likely created in the late 600s AD in Northern England, or perhaps the Scottish Inner Hebrides.
