Seven Spiral Shield tattoo design

My favorite spiral symbol, the Aberlemno circle from Scotland, stretched to fit a leg calf. Precision that makes me hold my breath, mustn't tell the client any jokes, slow and steady. My first ever client from the British Virgin Islands. This tattoo will see lots of surf and sun and is bold enough to weather well.

Celtic Tau Cross tattoo design

I created this custom Celtic Tau cross for a warrior from Texas, a man trained to kill, who has dedicated his life to peace. Sometimes called the Saint Francis cross, the Tau cross is in all Franciscan places of worship. It is considered symbolic of reflection and contemplation, new beginnings and new starts.

Family Tree of Life Celtic Tattoo Design

A custom family tree of life added as a tribute to a father, who passed away and is represented by the falling leaf. The leaves in the canopy represent children, the continuing generation, and the roots are the tie to heritage. Woven into the roots is an infinity symbol, for the continuity of the family through the years. It is placed above a Celtic knot done decades ago, and the birth and death dates of family members.

Spring of Life Celtic Tree of life

When this gal was 15 she went to a party where she got high, made a bad choice, and had a random vagrant tattoo a butterfly on her upper arm. The next day she regretted it, and several years later had a doctor cut out the ink, leaving a butterfly shaped scar (inset) that she dressed to conceal for the next 35 years. Today, a tree of life is a symbol of her turning a regret into a thing of beauty.
