Today a man whose occupation as a defender of the law has led him to a deep appreciation of the Jedi Knights in the Star Wars saga has permanently emblazoned his body with the mark of their order.

This week a returning client with extensive work came back to find a way to balance a Japanese dragon on his chest. We decided on a Celtic eel, a real creature as fearsome as the opposing Asian monster, rendered with the true horror-show teeth and then the sinuous body rendered in knot work. Like many clients with a lot of tattoos, he has reached the point of wanting to work on filling in all the empty spots. The work today wound the eel body through previous Celtic animal tattoos, and at the wrist wove one smaller eel across the knots for added intricacy.
