Celtic Knotwork Clover Tattoo

Isn't everyone secretly envious of the Irish, with their designation as the Lucky Ones and their splendid symbol of the 4 leaved clover? A fine repeat client came in today and got this original knot work clover design of mine, an ethnic statement of his determination to make his own luck.

Celtic Arm Band Tattoo

I'm always pleased to do large scale intricate Celtic knotwork band tattoos, they are such a bold statement. They also require a lot of precision to make them fit the arm, which is not a tube, more like a funnel. This one was a tough one to line up, but there is no beginning and no end, and that's what I always strive for, a perfect custom fit.

Icelandic Sheepdog Tattoo

A tattoo portrait of the highly awarded Icelandic Sheepdog Eyjahunda Thorarinn, the only one of his breed to ever take an AKC “Best in Show.”
His owner commissioned this portrait from me months ago, sending multiple photographs for me to work from, and then decided to make the trek to have me also install it. I am very happy to see him come to life in skin.

Celestial Star Snake Tattoo

Finding just the right spot for this sinuous snake to writhe about was a bit of a challenge, but once we decided the head on the top of the foot let the neck turn and flex, giving animation to the pattern, then that kinetic element made this the best choice. Fortunately my very pale Norwegian/Scottish friend shows the bright blue dotted color to best advantage.

The beauty of a writhing snake, with a celestial spray of stars down its back, brings its movement and sensuous curves to unity with the skin.
