Today's client had an engineer's eye for detail and a fondness for ravens, so we combined two designs he liked into this custom one. The challenge was to combine representational raven heads with knot work necks and shoulders, working down to an abstract pattern representing flight feathers and tails. Now HIS challenge is enjoying making up replies to the questions about what it means!

An ethnic decoration for an avid hill-walker who has actually traveled the entire West Highland Way across Scotland. We blended a base triquetra as the stem of the thistle with a ring of shamrocks, then added the bright living jewel of a hummingbird.
