Thousands of dots and hours later, and now this NordicDale style dragon is completed. In a PREVIOUS POST I showed the head by itself, and in the sessions since we have added the dragon's body, scales, and a small eel to add complexity and emphasize the pre-existing Latin words. Utilizing the musculature of the body to make a tattoo capable of movement and achieve a sculptural presence, makes it truly kinetic art.

Today a man with Nordic heritage requested these writhing wyverns to fill a space on the back of his forearm, one more step towards his goal of a full sleeve. Starting with heads designed by the ever-popular Coin Dale, I drew Celtic knotwork bodies to span elbow to wrist, and interact with a knotwork bracelet already in place.

Today I did a local landmark for the very first time! The beautiful Old Mission is a revered symbol of the city, and I can't explain why no one has EVER asked me to do it before.... but this sentimental local finally made the request.

Today a returning client brought in this quite compelling Viking style Thor's hammer pattern. Working around his other tattoos was a challenge, so we straddled the outside of the elbow area of his arm. A MOST unusual placement, but the only spot left that could give us enough space for all the intricate weaving.
