Tattoo Travel & Conventions

Conventions:

In May 2014 I attended and lectured at the 35th annual National Tattoo Association Convention in Garden Grove, California. I've been a member of the NTA for 30 years, and these "family reunions" are an opportunity to catch up on the careers of people I have known for decades and see inspiring work. To read more about the convention and the awards won, check out the blog post about it.

An illustrated lecture about historical sources for Celtic Tattoos by Pat Fish and ColinFraser Purcell. We discuss the historical art styles of the British Isles, drawing from illuminated manuscripts, standing stones, metal artifacts, and more. We also cover translating primary sources into quality tattoo art as well as customizing and combining designs for personalized tattoos.
